Post Traumatic Conference Stress
Well... Here we are.
We were so pumped when we got home from the conference. We were flying high. I was even more hyper that usual, which under normal circumstances can be scary enough.
Then, ya know, reality set in once more.
Now checking the mail box has taken second place to obsessively checking our e-mail. Our stuff is out there in all its glory. And we expect instant gratification. Hello.
We are undecided if we should be sending out more queries. Or do we wait in the face of the overwhelming interest we received from both agents and editors?
Do we hang in one more month in the hopes we get a manuscript sold and an advance? Or do we attempt to get tiny little jobs that will some magical way keep us going financially but still leave us time to write, write, write?
Oh, the uncertainty of it all.
I think I'd prefer to be hit on the head with a large rubber mallet and wait out the process in la-la land.
But hang in there with us, you tons o' fans, because one day SOON, we will be published authors and you can say you knew us when and suffered through our journey right along with us!
Oh joy!
Love and peace, man,
Tracy
